My Experience as a Level 7 Google Local Guide

It all kicked off in 2017, the year my buddy and I turned into accidental cartographers. While hopping from one place to another, we noticed something – a lot of spots on Google Maps were missing the real deal, be it their operating hours or just a glimpse of what they looked like. So, we started filling in the blanks – updating hours, snapping pics, and setting the record straight. Before we knew it, our contributions were getting views, lots of them. It sparked a friendly rivalry: who could get more views, add more photos, and make Google Maps just that bit more reliable?

As time rolled on, our competitive streak mellowed, but our passion for updating Google Maps didn't. It's less about the race now and more about that helping hand spirit. Over the years, Google's even thrown in some 'thank yous' our way – quirky socks and other cool swag.
